Accommodation and Facilities at White Lodge Care Home
All our bedrooms are single occupancy, however should a couple wish to move in we do have larger rooms available to share.
Each of our fifty-five comfortable bedrooms are fully furnished and decorated in a modern style sympathetic to the houses heritage and many retain some original architectural features.
Bedroom furniture comprises of a wardrobe, bedside table with a lockable draw, armchair and other furniture suitable to the size of the room.
WIFI is available throughout the home and all bedrooms have a telephone point.
Residents are welcome to personalise their room with their own furnishings, paintings, photos and furniture should they desire. Rooms are cleaned daily and residents are able to have keys to their rooms.
White Lodge & St Helens Care Home encourages residents to have a picture or photograph of their choice on their bedroom door so that they are able to recognise their own room.
Communial and outside Areas
We have a variety of communal areas where residents can relax, socialise with other residents and entertain guests, including designated television lounges, quiet lounges and smaller sitting areas.

Our rooms have stunning views over Boscombe Chines and tranquil gardens and onto the horizon and the nearby beaches. Each of our 55 comfortable individual bedrooms are fully furnished and decorated in a modern style, sympathetic to the houses heritage and many retain some original architectural features. Residents are welcome to personalise their room with their own furnishings, paintings, photos and furniture should they desire.
Communial Areas
The communal areas at White Lodge are bright and spacious, making the home feel friendly and relaxing. Residents can entertain family and friends, spend time with other residents or take part in many of the activities available, as we have a full calendar of events throughout the year at White Lodge.
Dining Area
The dining room has views over the treetops and glimpses of the sea, and the our dining areas become a hub of conversation and laughter during mealtimes. The catering team provide a high standard of menus to ensure residents have a balanced and healthy diet. Whether its’s tea and cake or a sunday roast, we encourage our residents to make the most of living in an active and friendly environment.
Outside Areas
White Lodge is located in the heart of Boscombe, Bournemouth, overlooking the Chines and its beautiful surroundings. Residents can enjoy sitting in the sun amongst our summer herbs or flowers, or just simply wish to keep a watchfull eye on the sparrows and squirells, as we recognise that many of our residents had such lovely gardens themselves and that gardening may have been a special pastime for them.
Facilities
There are 55 bedrooms in total with lounges and a conservatory where our residents are free to catch up with fellow residents. We have a large sociable dining room where residents can enjoy and sample our menu of seasonal home cooked food. We often hold themed and seasonal events to which family are invited and always celebrate residents’ birthdays.
The Local Area
Bournemouth is known as a holiday destination for young and old and is the biggest town in Dorset, with a population of 195,000. White Lodge is situated just a stones throw from away form Bournemouth beach where you can meander your way through Boscombe Chine Gardens to the golden sandy beach which is accessible by wheelchair.
